Broadwell Youth Sections season up and running
Under 14’s start season with a win, U9’s & U10’s both give good performances
Broadwell under 14’s have started their season with a 2-1 win against Ashelworth woodpeckers at Lakers. The new look under 14 team only had 11 players available due to holidays etc… but that didnt stop them from taking all 3 points.
Broadwell went 1-0 down due to a speculative shot from Ashelworth which caught the Broadwell keeper Liam Hagger off his line, this was to be the only shot Ashelworth had all of the 1st half. Broadwell leveled the game 10 minutes later with a well taken goal from Jamie Hosford. Broadwell had various chances to go into half time in the lead but unfortunately could not put the ball in the net.
Broadwell controlled the 2nd half from start to finish and scored straight after the break however Josh Downie-Holder was just offside and the goal was ruled out. After various chances Broadwell took the lead through a goal by Frazer Freeman-Jones.
Next Saturday Morning Broadwell Under 14’s entertain Ellwood in a local derby at Lakers School. Good Luck boys.
Broadwell Under 9’s played their first ever league game this morning against Hardwicke and put in a very good performance, Man of the Match was given to Drew Corbijn
Broadwell Under 10’s had a great game also against Tuffley Rovers, Man of the Match was Olly Samuel.
Tomorrow afternoon sees both our Under 13 teams starting their seasons, our Under 13 Magpies are away to Prestbury Phantoms and our Under 13 Warriors are at home (Hawthorns) to Hardwicke Rangers
